Unit 128 Education Bulletin Board
1) Unit 128 is officially out of the book-selling business; we recommend you contact either ACBL at www.acbl.org or 800 264-2743 (option 1) or our own Rahn Smith at bridgebooks@verizon.net or 813 205-2303
2) The Unit 128 Education Foundation will continue to give financial support
for member-owned clubs that offer four free bridge lessons followed by
a paid series, for classes held through March 31, 2006, see below; after
that time, the Education Foundation expects to be changing its focus. Any
suggestions or requests should be directed to Phyllis Ranagan, Education
Liaison, at pranagan@earthlink.net. Efforts geared to young people are
especially welcome.

Expires March 31, 2006 Member-owned clubs are encouraged to offer four free bridge lessons to
attract potential new players. Please let us know about your plans ahead
of time (see addresses and phone below.) 1. Reimbursement for advertising expenses and printed materials for student distribution, up to $500 for your first
series of free lessons, but not to overlap with any advertising moneys
you receive from the ACBL; for these reimbursements, you will be required
to submit to us copies of your paid bills and copies of advertisements
and materials (radio spots should be documented, please.) |
